Lichnos Beach in Parga
Lichnos beach is located 4 km to the South from Parga. It is one of the most beautiful beaches in Epirus and by far the most famous beach in Parga Greece. In fact, it is one of those amazing Greek beaches where the deep blue water is combined with the green of the olive groves, all in one picture.
Lichnos beach is sandy and has some large pebbles. Its waters are deep and clean; frankly speaking, it is possible to fish on this beach. You will have the chance to practise some unusual water sports in Lichnos beach, such as diving, scuba diving, jet skiing, snorkeling and surfing. Lichnos has also pedalo rentals which are very entertaining and allow exploring the Ionian Sea with their famous caves around. Those who prefer tranquil activities, like sunbathing, can also feel very comfortable in Lichnos beach in Parga.
There are mini market and some good cafes and taverns in Lichnos beach, which offer delicious Greek food and work all day.
Lichnos beach may be a little busy in the daytime due to its amusing activities but the sunset gives the opportunity to enjoy a quiet environment.
The beach of Lichnos can be accessed by car, boat or on foot. There is a paved road all the way to the beach but it is advisable to start early in the morning, in order to avoid the strong sun and the heat. Otherwise, you can go by car and bicycle or by boat from the harbor of Parga.
If you visit Lichnos beach, you should definitely go to the cave of Aphrodite. It is located in a 5-minute distance and can be accessed only by boat or a pedalo. According to the myth, Aphrodite, the goddess of love and beauty, used to take her bath in that cave…

What a lovely post. The photography is amazing!
Thank you very much… In truth, this place is much much more beautiful in reality!
Beautiful photos – Greece is definitely one of my top 3 destinations. I was unaware of this beautiful beach, though. Thanks!
Thank you!
I am considering “reblogging” this post to our blog on beaches. It’s my understanding that the first 88 words and photos would post on our site and then link back to this page. Would this be agreeable to you?
Sure, I’m happy if someone like to share this post! Feel free to make it 😉
Thank you!
Thank you for the “like”! These photos make me want to return to Greece! I was there in 2006. There is some real beauty.
Yes, Greece all around is really beautiful. Which part of it have you visited?
We spent about a week in Athens, then took a ferry over to the Peloponnese, saw the Corinth Canal, Olympia, took a cruise to Crete and back, then flew to Samos. It was kind of a whirlwind, but it was a school trip, so they like to squeeze a lot in! I would love to go back and take my time!
Wow! You’ve got a good experience! Now to accomplish it you should come to the opposite part of Greece, to Parga for instance! Here you can really take your time and enjoy…
Indeed! I’ll put it on my short list 🙂 Again, great post!
My gosh who would NOT want to get married or even vacation here!!!!!!
Hehe! You are right!! This place is like a dream, sometimes I feel so lucky that I live there… and it is always so pleasant to see if anyone else like Lichnos beach too!
